Assist. Prof. Bilge Şan Özbilen, an academic from our Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, served on the Local Organizing Committee at the 32nd International Sound and Vibration Congress, held between July 5-10, 2026, in collaboration with the Turkish Acoustics Association and the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV). She also coordinated the Acoustics and Vibration Academy (AVA), an event of the congress.

Assist. Prof. Özbilen also served as Session Chair in the Psychological Acoustics session and presented the paper "Evaluation Of The Soundscape Quality Of Historic Bazaars: The Case Of Istanbul Grand Bazaar," co-authored with graduate student Sahar Asoudeh, in the Sound as Intangible Heritage session.
